Airfreight

Transporting goods by air has many advantages, which is why it is one of the most popular and efficient methods of transportation around the world.

Akhmadshoh Rakhimov, head of the air transportation department at Dunyo Cargo, spoke about the most important advantages.

In the modern world, freight transportation plays a decisive role in meeting the needs of each country for goods and services. For mountainous countries such as Tajikistan, with fairly complex terrain, access to efficient and reliable transportation systems becomes even more important.

The logistical complexities associated with limited land transport facilities make air freight transport extremely important to a country's economic development. Therefore, the demand for air cargo transportation is growing along with the development of trade and economic relations in Tajikistan.

Transporting agricultural products, textiles, electronics and other goods requires reliable and fast logistics solutions. Therefore, the development of international air cargo transportation is becoming a priority, which has been especially felt in Tajikistan in recent years.

New airlines are beginning to operate in the country and new regular routes are appearing, which helps to increase the availability of air cargo transportation for local participants in foreign economic activity.

Air freight is the fastest method of transporting goods. The aircraft can cover long distances in a short period of time, which makes it possible to use this transport to deliver goods around the world the fastest.

This is especially true for the transportation of goods that require urgent delivery.

For example, these could be medications or vaccines, fresh products or important components for production, spare parts, orders from online stores.

Thanks to the wide route network of air transport, maximum geographical coverage of cargo delivery areas is ensured. Airplanes can deliver cargo to almost any corner of the world, even to places where other modes of transport may be inaccessible or ineffective. The main condition is the presence of an airport at the destination.

A distinctive feature of air cargo transportation is a high degree of reliability. Strict adherence to flight schedules and cargo control throughout the entire route are the main priorities of airlines transporting customer cargo. All this significantly reduces the risk of damage, damage or even loss of cargo.

Cargo transported by air is protected from external atmospheric conditions, such as weather and climate. This reduces the risk of damage or degradation of goods, especially when transporting valuable, fragile or perishable goods.

Air cargo transportation is most profitable when transporting goods over long distances, especially for intercontinental deliveries of goods. Compared to other modes of transport, air transportation allows you to reduce travel time and minimize losses associated with waiting for delivery.

“However, it is worth noting that air cargo can be more expensive than other modes of transport, especially when transporting large and heavy cargo over long distances. Therefore, the choice of transportation method should depend on the specific needs of your business, delivery time and budget,” noted Akhmadshoh Rakhimov.

Main transport routes

From Tajikistan and back, air cargo transportation is carried out by direct flights to 12 countries, including: Turkey, UAE, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Iran, China, India, Russian Federation, Belarus, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, and Uzbekistan.

However, cargo can be sent and received in Tajikistan from almost 200 countries and territories around the world.

How is this possible? It's very simple: for global transport, transport service providers use aviation hubs. An aviation hub is an airport that plays a key role in international and national air travel, providing efficient transfers and connections between different flights and destinations.

The main hubs used for the transportation of goods by air to Tajikistan and back are airports located in the cities of Istanbul, Tashkent, Almaty, Dubai and Kuwait. Using these hubs, cargo transportation is carried out further to almost any airport in the world.

Airlines operating cargo transportation in Tajikistan

Through Turkish Airlines, you can send cargo to up to 270 airports located in 129 countries of the world included in the route network of this airline.

The Uzbekistan Airways route network includes more than 50 airports in 25 countries. Air Astana, in addition to its route network, has the opportunity to
